Education on childrens complex care needs in general nursing curricula in Europe: An inductive content analysis

Nursing programmes must prepare children's nurses to respond effectively the health needs of children and young people. The aim this study was examine general nursing curricula for child-related content. A non-experimental descriptive design used. Curricular plans from 18 countries where education only requirement care with complex in community were analysed. Curricula obtained institutions who educated largest number student each country. An inductive analysis carried out. Almost three-quarters (n = 13) offered one or more compulsory core modules on children. content varied sixteen ECTS credits showing a wide variation focus these curricula. In 12 most other modules. sample five had no Child-related curricular considerably across countries, little focused needs. This can illustrate that are not always adequately prepared meet sick
